How many times has someone else had to save you? How many times did you even need saving? God, you're so tired of everyone thinking you're delicate and need help, aren't you? You fight to explain that you can fend for yourself, that you can walk outside without someone holding an umbrella over your head, you can go down the street without needing an escort. You are not a delicate flower, you scream, you are something more. You can be kind and still throw a punch. You can be sweet and voice your anger when someone steps over the line. You are strong on your own, and you hold your head high - maybe too high. It's ok to accept help when you actually need it, and its ok to do things on your own too. Accepting help does not make you weaker or smaller or less deserving. Do things on your own. Tell your would be heroes that you can rescue yourself.
